12 Nations Kendo Tournament 2026

The 12 Nations event will take place in Frankfurt on 5–6 December 2026. It is a men’s team tournament featuring teams from 12 countries.

Led by Hirao Sensei, a Japanese delegation will travel to Frankfurt with two teams from the Japanese national squad. Together with teams from Germany, France, England, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland, the participating nations will compete in a round-robin format.

The 12 Nations is not an official championship, and titles or final rankings are not the main focus. The event is primarily about international exchange, intensive shiai experience and the shared experience of international kendo.

Organiser: Deutscher Kendo Bund.
